What to know before buying

The frightening appearance may not suit every event. Confirm mask visibility, hand coverage and the selected size.

Compare the child’s current height, chest and torso measurements with the selected chart. Age labels vary between brands, and stretch fabric does not remove the need for a suitable size. Think about the actual event: a classroom, a seated party and an outdoor trick-or-treat route put different demands on visibility, movement and getting in or out of the costume.

Fit and practical use matter more than the age label

For this product: Review the character imagery together and test visibility and movement before the costume is used in dim lighting.

Try the complete costume in ordinary light before wearing it at a dimly lit event. Check the view through any mask, how hands are freed and how quickly bulky pieces can be removed. Confirm the venue’s rules for props and follow the manufacturer’s age guidance and instructions for every component.
