What to know before buying

The five-foot title and stated standing dimensions measure the prop differently. Use the 43-inch standing width when checking your doorway.

Start with the surface or footprint you actually have. A large spider, a pack of small skeletons and a stretchy web solve different decorating problems: one creates a focal point, one builds a scene, and one covers background space. Daylight appearance matters as well as the view after dark. Take a photograph of the intended area before ordering so you can judge scale and attachment points.

Plan the display around the space

For this product: Bend the legs into the intended pose before deciding where to secure it; a wide spread changes the space it occupies.

Check the material and fixing method before installing the prop. Avoid assuming that a seller’s indoor/outdoor wording establishes resistance to every type of weather. Keep decorations clear of paths, door mechanisms and fragile plants, and follow the product’s own instructions for placement and removal.
